Awake In-Office Vocal Cord Procedures
Advanced vocal cord treatments performed safely in the office without general anesthesia.
Expert Vocal Cord Care — No Operating Room Required
Many vocal cord conditions that once required a trip to the operating room can now be treated safely and comfortably right here in the office — while you are fully awake, without general anesthesia, and with little to no downtime. For busy performers, professionals, and anyone who can’t afford to put their life on hold, this is a significant advantage.
Not every ENT physician offers these procedures. They require specialized training, a steady hand, and an intimate familiarity with the vocal cords that only a fellowship-trained laryngologist brings to the table.
Procedures We Offer
- Vocal cord filler injections — to restore volume and improve closure in weakened or paralyzed vocal cords, and treat age-related voice changes
- Botox injections for spasmodic dysphonia — a highly effective treatment for this often misdiagnosed and debilitating voice condition
- Steroid injections — for vocal cord nodules, scarring, and other overuse-related injuries
- Vocal cord and airway laser procedures — precise, minimally invasive treatment for lesions and airway concerns
- Vocal cord, throat, and airway biopsies — for accurate diagnosis when tissue sampling is needed
The In-Office Advantage
Scheduling a procedure in the operating room means coordinating anesthesia, surgical facilities, and recovery time. Here, many of these same procedures can be performed during or shortly after your evaluation, in a private, unhurried setting, with Dr. Rafii personally performing every step.
The expertise of a vocal cord surgeon. The comfort and convenience of a private office. No OR required.
